What We Do
More than a horse motel, not exactly a Bed & Breakfast, Gingerbred Hill Farm is a "Board and Bunk". A stall or paddock for the traveling horse and comfortable lodging for the trusted human companions. Conveniently located near the Goethe Forest and the Ocala National Forest, as well as Post Time Farm, host to H.I.T.S. in Ocala, FL, the Florida Horse Park, Black Prong Equestrian Center, and Canterbury near Gainesville, FL, to name a just few, the farm is a great place for your home base during the winter competition season or any time of year for a Florida horse vacation. There are over 500 miles of horse trails to ride or drive in national and state forests and parks, all within close proximity (as well as trails right off the property).
Gingerbred Hill Farm is a small, privately owned facility focused on your horse's comfort and safety, as well as yours, in a very quiet, relaxing setting. We offer:
- Full board or self care, or a combination
- A center aisle barn with six 12x12 box stalls (with bedding) for boarding horses overnight or short term, a tack/feed room & wash areas
- 7 private paddocks for 1 to 3 horses each
- Horse boarding for lay-ups or lay overs
- 4 hook-ups for RVs & horse trailers with water & electric (Sorry, no dump station)
- Several large comfortable rooms with Breakfast, wifi, Kitchen priviledges and laundry for longer stays, and wrap around porches overlooking the pastures to relax on after a days riding - Families welcome.
- Small enough to be flexible to fill your individual needs
